Microsoft Debuts Azure Training Courses

Microsoft is making it easier for customers to understand and learn Azure. Gavriella Schuster, CVP for the Worldwide Partner Group announced new free training courses. The idea is customers can use the courses to understand digital transformation.

On the Microsoft Partner Blog, Schuster says the courses help partners get prepared for demand and how to grow their business:

“These courses are designed to help partners respond to the surging demand, realize positive returns, and grow their market opportunity. Technology professionals can start with our Azure Fundamentals or those wishing to become multi-cloud specialists can check out our Azure for AWS Experts courses, or dive right in to more specific courses like Azure Storage or Networks.”

Azure courses will be available as interactive MOOC (Massively Open Online Course). Users can take the course as and when they please, Microsoft explains. Six courses are available at the start and six more will be added in the near future.

Microsoft believes that the courses help connect the skills gap with business growth. The company says it is helping to nurture the next generation of computer science professionals. Microsoft Virtual Academy, the Cloud + Enterprise University Boot Camps, and the Microsoft Professional Program are part of the company’s commitment to training existing workforces.

The Massively Open Online Courses are currently available here. Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCP) exams are also available, Shuster points out. Exams cost $99 with one retake included, while three exams, retakes, and practice tests are also available for the discounted price of $279 (down from $1,287).
